How much RAM does a Create server need?+
4 GB runs Create plus a handful of companion mods comfortably for a friend group. If you add 30+ more mods or build very large contraption farms, step up to 6–8 GB. Upgrading later is one click and one restart.
Do my friends need Create installed too?+
Yes. Create adds blocks and items, so every player needs the same mod (and loader) on their client. The server tells joining players when their version doesn't match.
Does Create run on Fabric?+
The main Create mod ships for Forge and NeoForge. A separate community port, Create Fabric, covers Fabric — it trails the main mod by a few versions, so we default your server to NeoForge.
Will big contraptions lag the server?+
Create is well optimized, but thousands of moving blocks cost tick time on any host. High-clock cores matter more than raw RAM here — that's what our hardware is built around, and you can watch TPS from the live console.
