Connect to your server
Find your join address and connect from Java or Bedrock editions.
Java Edition
Your server’s overview page shows a JOIN AT banner with the address and a copy button. In Minecraft:
- Open
Multiplayer→Add Server. - Paste the address into the server-address field and save.
- Join. The server must show a green
Runningstatus.
The client’s Minecraft version has to match the server’s version (shown on the overview). A mismatched client is the most common “can’t connect” cause.
Bedrock (crossplay)
If your server has crossplay enabled, Bedrock players — consoles, phones, tablets, Windows edition — join the same world with the same address. In Bedrock, go to Play → Servers → Add Server: the part before the colon is the Server Address, the number after it is the Port.
Can’t connect?
- Check the status badge — a
StoppedorProvisioningserver doesn’t accept connections. Start it from the overview. - Re-copy the address with the copy button rather than retyping it.
- If a whitelist is enabled in settings, the joining player’s exact username must be on it.
- Watch the console while a friend joins — a refused or kicked connection logs the reason there.
