Connect to your server

Find your join address and connect from Java or Bedrock editions.

Java Edition

Your server’s overview page shows a JOIN AT banner with the address and a copy button. In Minecraft:

  1. Open MultiplayerAdd Server.
  2. Paste the address into the server-address field and save.
  3. Join. The server must show a green Running status.
The client’s Minecraft version has to match the server’s version (shown on the overview). A mismatched client is the most common “can’t connect” cause.

Bedrock (crossplay)

If your server has crossplay enabled, Bedrock players — consoles, phones, tablets, Windows edition — join the same world with the same address. In Bedrock, go to Play ServersAdd Server: the part before the colon is the Server Address, the number after it is the Port.

Can’t connect?

  • Check the status badge — a Stopped or Provisioning server doesn’t accept connections. Start it from the overview.
  • Re-copy the address with the copy button rather than retyping it.
  • If a whitelist is enabled in settings, the joining player’s exact username must be on it.
  • Watch the console while a friend joins — a refused or kicked connection logs the reason there.
